Within the memorandum of cooperation between the GIZ-AMBERO-ICON project ‘Strengthening Municipal Land Management’ and the Faculty of Architecture of Belgrade University, the project leader, Mr. Harald Müller, held a lecture for students of the master program Integrated Urbanism on 29th March 2017. The topic of this lecture was ‘’Circular land management’’, presenting EU policies and cases from German practice.
This lecture represents a continuation of a long term and successful cooperation between the project and the faculty in the field of education and research in sustainable urban development planning, and especially referring to the topic of urban development planning instruments which are implemented through the GIZ project. With support from the GIZ project, the student generation 2012/13 developed a master thesis ‘‘Implementation of Integrated Urban Development Strategy for inner-city of Kragujevac’’, while the next generation of students worked in cooperation with Technical University Berlin on the project ‘’Disaster risk management – the case of the city of Obrenovac’’. The topic of this year’s study project/master thesis is ‘’Integrated urban projects on public property management – the case of the city of Pancevo’’. 27 students are supervised by professors Marija Maruna, Danijela Milovanovic Rodic and Ratka Colic.
